After an accident, the victim, their next-of-kin, the helpers or the eyewitnesses may be equally in need of mental support. We encourage you to seek outside help. Psychological aftercare helps with processing the reactions and pain caused by an accident, eases anxiety and prevents further stress-related symptoms.
Everybody is obliged to take rescue action to the best of their abilities and skills if an accident has occurred or a person is otherwise in peril. This is why learning and maintaining first aid skills is so important.
CPR instructions
If a person suddenly loses consciousness, follow these instructions:
Always call the emergency number 112 in case of emergencies in which lives, health, property or the environment are threatened or in danger. Depending on the situation, the Emergency Response Centre will call for a police officer, a rescue, ambulance or social welfare worker.
